Fresh Cuts Collection

Casually designed in the Between 2012 and 2015, this collection was inspired by workshops and discussions with Makers. As an alternative to Maker’s problem solving approach and as a device to push creative individual expression, I introduced a simple design process based on storytelling in my design workshops.

Naturally, I became interested in chairs as stories rather than seating solutions. And although many of my past works include narratives, the Fresh Cuts collection intentionally focuses on forming short humorous statements as chairs, that are simple to produce, assemble and use.

The chairs are made of 18mm CNC cut birch plywood and various purchased components. As Open Designs, they are available for download on my website, for anyone to copy, produce and experiment with.
